WEDNESDAY 20 th March......too windy to fish so some exercise and a quiet day.......THURSDAY 21st March...decided to go out one more time before Buck cleans the boat ready for storage!Moose comes along for the ride..It’s a bit rough....in coming tide and a wind coming across us that makes the boat rock.....as does my stomach.....I hurl overboard..Moose vomits in the boat...sorry Buck your deck hands aren’t the best today!! We wanted 30 crabs and we got them in about 2 hrs......back to the park...clean them .....steam them...we are taking some to a mate in Wallaroo as he’s not in good health... SUNDAY 17 th March.....St Patrick’s Day. .... a quiet day...walk and coffee... back to the park and a quick dip.....heating up again....managers from the park call in for a drink...this leprechaun is drinking whiskey and overindulged a wee bit.....comes MONDAY 18th March.....no boating for me!! Buck ventures out and I take Moose for a walk and feel sorry for myself....Buck comes back with 3 squid and his quota of 20 blue skimmer crabs! Off to the cleaning bay.....Alcohol free day for me.....catch cleaned! TUESDAY 19 th March......out on the bay with the hope of more squid...... Calm ocean today...     We drift in the channel for a while then  decide to venture into the back channel.....still no luck!!        I can see plenty of crabs walking around...the water is so clear....they dart in and out of the weed!                   The new squid jig didn’t do the trick so morning tea is th...

SATURDAY 16 th March......back out on the bay.....we went out crabbing...yet again and got 24....we gave a dozen to a couple who we’ve met here as they are off to see their family.....best part is  we don’t have to clean them! Bay is very calm...experiencing a DODGE tide...well known phenomenon among Adelaides ocean lovers...but reportedly happen in only a few other places in the world! When Matthew Flinders first mapped the coast of SA he noticed the tides missed the usual timing several times a year and coined that the “tide was dodging!” These are tides with little or no height variance.. the phenomena was only reported in the Gulf of Mexico,possibly  a gulf near Nova Scotia and in the Gulf of Carpentaria... “ In a few places in the world due to symmetry of the oceans and how the tidal waves respond,the effects of the Sun and moon are about equal...the effects cancel each other out so we get no tidal movement whatsoever for a day or two!  It’s a unique phenomeno...
