FRIDAY 1st March.....42 expected today so I’m staying put with Moose.....Buck ventures out on his own and I take Moose for a walk and enjoy a coffee overlooking the jetty where people fish and have been catching crabs as well!
Coffee with a view!

 Off he goes!20 crabs..blue swimmers..

Buck  had his quota in just over an hr!
COLOUR IN THE NET!
They have to measure 110 cm across the carapace....the males are BUCKS..the females

JENNYS...very apt !! We only take the Bucks as most females have eggs...next years catch!

I was waiting at the camp organising the steamer ....we clean them then they are steamed for 8 mins and voila!

I make a dipping sauce...or just eat as is!

SATURDAY 2nd March...I need a haircut soI’m off to the hairdressers....Buck has asked Don from the van next to us to go out in the boat ....they have a good morning...26 more crabs ....we tend to share them around as you can only eat so many and like all seafood .....fresh is best!
The heat is oppressive so Buck spotted a fan in one of the holiday permanents vans so I have BORROWED it to give us some breeze through the annexe ( I blame the heat for my actions!)...although we spend most of the day in the air conditioned van...
